Akroor gave the news of Pandavas death to Krishna and Balram. Balram was very sad but Krishna did not react at all. Krishna did not want to go to Hastinapur for consolation.
What he wanted to see was who in Hastinapur was in grief on Pandavas death? Every one was happy but they were pretending to be sad and death was for everyone for sure.
With Krishna’s expressions it was obvious that he knew that Pandavas were alive. Krishna informed Balram that Pandavas were alive. Balram was assured. On knowing that Pandavas were alive, even Bhisma Pitamah was very happy.
Pandavas were living in Chakranagari in the disguise of Brahmins. At the Brahmin’s house where they were staying, on hearing his wife’s lamentation, Kunti asked her the reason for crying.
She came to know that there lived a demon named Bakasur in the nearby cave and everyday one member of a family had to go for him and today it was this Brahmin family’s turn.
Kunti asked Bhima to go to the demon instead of Brahmin. A fierce battle was fought between Bhima and Bakasur. Bhima killed Bakasur. After this, the Pandavas left Chakranagari.
Rukmani’s father wanted to arrange for a Swayamvar (a choice of marriage made by a princess in public) for her but his son Rukmi wanted his sister to get married to his friend Shishupal and so opposed the idea of organizing cr. He said that he would rebel if it did not happen. Rukmani’s parents were worried. Even Rukmani was worried.
Sage Narad gave this news to Krishna and asked him to be a saviour of Rukmani because if she was not married to him, she would die. Shri Krishna assured Naradji.
Here, Rukmi sent an invitation to his friend Shishupal to come with the marriage procession as Rukmani would be married to him. Shishupal sets out with the procession.
Rukmani sent a message to Krishna through her teacher Sage Shatanand asking Krishna to come and save her. On getting this message, Krishna immediately left for Vidarbhnagari.
Balram also left with him to support him.Shishupal’s procession reached the marriage place. Rukmani on the pretext of Gauri pooja reached Bhawani temple.
Rukmi and Shishupal got the news of Krishna’s arrival. They come out with the army to attack. Here Balram asked Krishna to go to the temple and he faced Rukmi and Shishupal. A battle was fought.
Shri Krishna seized Rukmani from the temple and took her away with him in his chariot and left for Dwarka. Shishupal and his friend were defeated by Balram.
Rukmi followed Krishna. Krishna stopped his chariot. A fierce battle was fought between Shri Krishna and Rukmi. Rukmi was defeated.
Shri Krishna wanted to kill him but Rukmani pleaded him to forgive Rukmi. At this, Krishna gifted him his life and left Rukmi.
