In Hindi astrology, the zodiac sign Taurus is known as “Vrishabha Rashi.” The story behind the Taurus zodiac sign in Hindi astrology is deeply rooted in Hindu mythology and ancient scriptures.

One of the most prominent stories associated with Taurus is the myth of the demon Mahishasura. According to Hindu mythology, Mahishasura was a powerful demon who received a boon from Lord Brahma, granting him immunity from death at the hands of any man or god. Emboldened by this boon, Mahishasura wreaked havoc on both heaven and earth, causing chaos and destruction.

In response to the growing threat posed by Mahishasura, the gods decided to create a divine warrior to defeat him. They pooled their powers together and created the goddess Durga, who was bestowed with weapons and divine blessings from each of the gods. Riding into battle atop a fierce lion, Durga confronted Mahishasura in a ferocious battle that lasted for nine days and nights.

On the tenth day, known as Vijayadashami or Dussehra, Durga finally vanquished Mahishasura, piercing him with her trident and slaying the demon. It is believed that during this battle, Durga assumed the form of a powerful bull, symbolizing strength, determination, and stability.

In Hindi astrology, the Taurus zodiac sign is associated with the qualities of the bull, representing steadfastness, resilience, and groundedness. People born under this sign are believed to possess the strength and determination of the bull, as well as an unwavering commitment to their goals.

The story of Mahishasura and Durga’s victory also symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, highlighting the importance of courage, righteousness, and divine intervention in overcoming
