Brahma Granthi Yantra is a sacred geometrical diagram to untie the psychic knots of our body. These are the obstacles which prevent our mind from attaining spiritual enlightenment. Worshiping this Yantra helps the worshippers to surpass these obstacles. The Yantra is contained in a Bhupur (a square with 4 T-shaped doors), the doors give access to the Yantra. The eight lotus petals represent 5 elements – Air, Fire, Water, Earth, and Sky, and 3 Gunas (vitrues) – Sattva (goodness), Rajas (passion) and Tamas (chaos). The downward triangles represent the feminine aspect of God. At the centre is a Yogi, untying all the psychic knots of the body and moving his consciousness towards the Supreme consciousness or the God.
The term comes from the Sanskrit, granthi, meaning “knot,” and Brahma, which refers to the Supreme Spirit. It is also called the perineal knot. Brahma Granthi is a term used in the context of yoga and Ayurveda to refer to a psychic knot or blockage believed to be located in the area of the heart chakra. It is said to represent the attachment to the physical body and material world. In the practice of yoga and meditation, the goal is to release or untie the Brahma Granthi to achieve spiritual growth and enlightenment.
Brahma granthi blocks the muladhara (root) and svadhisthana (sacral) chakras. This granthi is created by common earthly concerns such as worry about food and shelter, fear of death, worry about health issues and a general lack of grounding.
In this context, the Brahma Granthi Yantra is a sacred geometric design that represents the energy center associated with the first chakra, known as the Muladhara or root chakra. This chakra is believed to be the foundation of our physical and spiritual existence, connecting us to the earth and providing stability and security. The Brahma Granthi Yantra is said to help balance and activate this chakra, promoting a sense of grounding, strength, and vitality. It is often used in meditation and spiritual practices to enhance one’s connection to the earth and promote overall well-being.
The Brahma Granthi Yantra is believed to offer various benefits when used in spiritual practices and meditation. Some potential benefits include:
- Balancing and activating the Muladhara or root chakra, promoting a sense of grounding and stability.
- Enhancing one’s connection to the earth and promoting a feeling of security and strength.
- Helping to release blockages or knots associated with the heart chakra, facilitating spiritual growth and enlightenment.
- Supporting overall well-being by harmonizing the energy flow within the body and promoting a sense of inner peace and balance.
